"Song Dynasty" is a historical movie directed by Maggie Cheung. Based on the development of Chinese society, the film tells the family and love stories of the three Song sisters who have had a profound influence on modern Chinese history. In the last years of the Qing Dynasty, the Qing government was corrupt and incompetent, and the people of the Li people were in dire straits. Countless people with lofty ideals kept seeking to save the Chinese nation from peril. Charlie Song, who has been developing in the United States, helped his friend Sun Yat-sen overthrow the Qing government with his wealth, ended the declining feudal imperial rule, and established the Republic of China. Charlie Soong's three daughters, Soong Ailing, Soong Ching Ling and Soong Meiling were all educated in the United States. After growing up and returning to China, they married the powerful Kong Xiangxi, Sun Yat-sen and Chiang Kai-shek respectively, forming the four famous families in modern Chinese history. In the end, the three sisters parted ways due to different political views. Until 1981, Soong Ching Ling, who stayed in the mainland, died soon. She wanted to see her sister Soong Meiling but failed.
