天书奇谭

"Tian Shu Qi Tan" is an animated feature film adapted from some chapters of "Ping Yao Zhuan", which was produced by China Shanghai Animation Film Studio in 1983. The film is co-directed by Wang Shuchen and Qian Yunda, screenwriters Bao Lei and Wang Shuchen, and Ke Ming is in charge of modeling design. With exquisite pictures and moving storyline, the film tells a legendary story involving Tiangong, fox demon and brave man.

The story begins in the "Secretary Pavilion" in Tiangong. When Yuan Gong took the Jade Emperor to Yaochi for a party, he secretly stole the book from heaven and carved the words on the stone wall of Baiyun Cave in Yunmeng Mountain. Yuan Gong was punished by the Jade Emperor for revealing the heavenly secret, and was ordered to guard the heavenly book on the stone wall for life. However, when he was patrolling the mountains, he met a group of swans, and one of the eggs was transformed into a human form by his magic, and he named it Dansheng. In order to pass the heavenly scriptures to the world, Yuan Gong asked Dan Sheng to dig down the heavenly scriptures on the stone wall, and taught him the magic of the heavenly scriptures, so that he could benefit the people.

Dan Sheng studied hard under the guidance of Yuan Gong, and became a brave man who is good at using the spells of heavenly scriptures. He used the scriptures from heaven to control locusts and relieve disasters, solve problems for the people, and won the respect and love of the people. However, this also aroused the jealousy and hatred of the three vixens. They colluded with the government, stole the heavenly book, and used the power of the heavenly book to harm the people. Dan Sheng was determined to get back the Heavenly Book, and fought fiercely with the fox spirit many times.

During the fight, Yuan Gong appeared and helped Dan Sheng. He taught Dan Sheng to keep the Heavenly Book in his heart, and then burned the Heavenly Book to avoid being held accountable by the Heavenly Court. In the end, Dan Sheng successfully defeated the vixen, and Yuan Gong was captured by the heavenly court for trial in order to bear his own guilt.
