陈美如的性格比较孤僻，很少有朋友，她只有一个死党，是姜蕙真。在陈美如生日主权到来的时候，姜蕙真张罗着为陈美如举办一个别出心裁的生日宴
陈美如本对这个生日宴并没有太多的期待。但是在晚上的时候他竟然遇到了一个古巴比伦装扮的男子，原本陈美如以为这是姜蕙真搞的一个恶作剧，没有放在心上。但是这个男子一直缠着陈美如，告诉陈美如自己是一个王子。随后他也告诉陈美如自己的名字，陈美如听到这个名字之后先是弄了一下，感到非常震惊，因为这个名字只有在自己的日记本当中出现过。
原来陈美如在12岁写日记的时候这些人物和故事情节全部出现在自己的日记本当中。在陈美如慢慢调查之后，发现原来并不是日记当中的人物出现在了现实生活当中，而是他们处于两个平行的时空。
