In the last years of the Ming Dynasty, the imperial court was corrupt, Nurhachi outside the pass was staring at him like a tiger, and the world was in turmoil. Against the background of this turbulent era, a movie called "Wudang Sword" shows the rise of a teenager.
The film tells the story of Geng Yujing, a young man who joined Wudang sect, but because of his blood and deep hatred, he had to embark on the turbulent road of the rivers and lakes to find the truth. The plot closely follows Liang Yusheng's novel of the same name, interweaving national hatred and family hatred with personal destiny, showing Geng Yujing's gradual growth into a hero and young hero amidst difficult choices, and finally achieved the feat of Wudang sword.
At the beginning of the story, Geng Jingshi and his beloved wife chose to elope to Liaodong when the court was corrupt and incompetent, but they fell into the trap of Nurhachi's men. Geng Jingshi was framed as a Wudang traitor, and the He family was brutally killed, but the young Geng Yujing was entrusted to the Tujia family to be raised. The young Geng Yujing encountered a hundred years of catastrophe in the process of growing up. He followed the guidance of Wu Xiang, the head of Wudang, and began to investigate the grievances and hatreds in the world.
During the investigation, Geng Yujing's life suffered many changes: his parents were killed, his brother was betrayed, and his beloved disappeared. However, it was during this series of trials and tests that Geng Yujing gradually grew up, from an unknown person to becoming a real "Wudang sword", reaching the highest state of Taoism and nature.
Through exciting plots and delicately portrayed characters, the film shows Geng Yujing’s ups and downs and sufferings in the process of growing up, and also depicts his continuous understanding, perception and tenacity in the process of moving forward in adversity. The superb performances of actors such as Chai Biyun, Yu Yi, Weng Hong and Zhou Hang added a lot to the film.
