北宋年间，在陷空岛上，住着五个结拜兄弟，他们的绰号是“五鼠”，而江湖南侠展昭因为保护包公有功被宋仁宗赐给了“御猫”的封号。当时的奸贼太师庞吉非常妒恨包公，于是故意派人挑拨包公让仁宗赐展昭“御猫”，就是要灭掉“五鼠”。五位义士很恼火，要去东京与展昭一决高下。在去往东京的途中“，五鼠”知道了庞吉之子庞昱在陈州的很多恶行，决定先去陈州惩治庞昱。想彻底铲除奸臣庞吉、庞昱，包公只能另施一计，他让展昭假装赌输掉钱，庞吉就利用此事救了展昭，并将他送往陈州助庞昱一臂之力。展昭就用仲元的身份混进庞昱府中，搜出了很多庞昱的犯罪证据。“五鼠”与展昭里应外合，更是为包公洗脱了冤情，又把庞昱斩首，为陈州百姓铲除了这个无赖
