《午夜逃亡》讲述了主人公之前是一名警察，但后来成为了一个职业的猎捕手，他在洛杉矶通过保释找到了线索要寻找的人，并告诉这个人，让他在5天之内去抓捕一个盗窃了1,500万美元的会计手，这个人被称之为公爵，但主人公索要了10万元美金作为自己的劳动奖金，因为这个人想要脱离自己的生活金盆洗手，并开一家属于自己的咖啡馆，于是在客户的勉为其难之下，答应了这一交易
在主人公即将出发之时，他受到了联邦调查局的威胁告知让主人公并不要参与到当前的事件之中，不过经历的几番周折，主人公终于找到了这个会计手，但并没有很好的办法将他带回西海岸。经历了一番挫折和困难之后，破除了一个又一个的阴谋，并在规定的时间内完成了任务，而主人公也最终获得了30万美元的报仇，开始了全新的生活。
