The movie "The Call of the Faraway" is a European and American drama adapted from the novel of the same name by Ann Cleeves, which will be released in Europe and America in 2021. Starring Ben Aldridge, Iona Anderson and Grant and directed by Lee Haven. Produced by Silverprint Pictures for ITV, the film consists of 4 episodes. The background of the story is set in Devon in southwest England. Inspector Matthew Venn is back in North Devon, where he and his husband Jonathan have settled in a small, quiet community. Twenty years ago, Matthew was ostracized by his family from the strict evangelical community in which he grew up. Now, he's back, not just to mourn from a distance at his father's funeral, but to investigate his first major murder. On the beach near Matthew's new home, a body was found. The man had an albatross tattoo on his neck, and he had been stabbed to death. The murder draws Matthew into a community of mystery and intrigue. It all happens on the edge of the stunning North Devon coastline. This play is written by "Dance" screenwriter Kelly Jones and directed by "Shetland Mystery" director Lee Haven Jones, so it is highly anticipated.
