故事要从1945年日军投降后，日本人撤离中国。高崎洋子把自己的女儿光子交给了陈嫂，陈嫂把自己的手镯作为信物给了高崎洋子，让她以后可以凭借这个手镯找回自己的女儿。几年后，高崎洋子寄来手镯找回了改名为陈秀兰的光子，至此和哥哥陈建华分离。几十年后文化大革命开始了，陈建华受到了猛烈攻击，原因是因为他曾经有一个日本的妹妹，1975年陈建华在干校改造，但是因为有一些任务被调了回来。他来到了日本认出了她的妹妹秀兰，但是他怕被大家认为她是日本特务，所以他就回避了秀兰，但是光子觉得陈建华很熟悉，心情很激动，但是无意间听到了他和妻子对话得知因为自己成份被很多人看不起，所以很伤心的离开了光子，最后回到了陈嫂家悄悄留下手镯，离开了。到最后4人帮终于被粉碎了，光子来到了中国和母亲幸福的团聚
The story begins after the surrender of the Japanese army in 1945, and the Japanese evacuated from China. Yoko Takasaki gave her daughter Photon to Mrs. Chen, and Mrs. Chen gave her bracelet to Yoko Takasaki as a token, so that she could use this bracelet to retrieve her daughter in the future. A few years later, Yoko Takasaki sent a bracelet to retrieve Photon who was renamed Chen Xiulan, and separated from her brother Chen Jianhua. Decades later, when the Cultural Revolution began, Chen Jianhua was severely attacked because he had a Japanese sister. In 1975, Chen Jianhua was reformed in the cadre school, but he was transferred back because of some tasks. He came to Japan and recognized her sister Xiulan, but he was afraid that everyone would think she was a Japanese spy, so he avoided Xiulan, but Guangzi felt that Chen Jianhua was very familiar and was very excited, but he overheard him talking to her. The wife had a conversation and learned that because of her status, many people looked down on her, so she left Guangzi sadly, and finally returned to Mrs. Chen's house, quietly left the bracelet and left. In the end, the Gang of Four was finally smashed, and Guangzi came to China to reunite happily with his mother
