小露是一个普通的小镇姑娘，一直和父母生活在一起，因为她丢了餐厅的工作，所以成为了威尔的保姆。威尔是一个英俊的青年，不仅长相英俊性格善良还多金，和未婚妻即将结婚的他遇到了一场车祸，导致下肢瘫痪。无法承受的他自暴自弃，性格也变得十分恶劣。刚开始的时候，威尔觉得小露也会很快就因为自己的刻薄离开，于是没有把她放在心上。小露带着威尔去马赛，去看电影，终于把威尔从自己的世界中拽了出来。这天，威尔带着小露来到了一个高档的舞会，小露没有管其他人奇怪的眼神，开心的和轮椅上的威尔跳舞。威尔让小露坐在身上，带着她一起来到外面看星星，两人深情的拥吻在一起。终于，威尔无可救药的爱上了小露，小露也芳心暗许，但是威尔却在这里选择安乐死结束自己的一生
