犯罪就要受到法律的制裁被关进监狱服刑，女主角姚爱嘉嫉恶如仇因为姚爱嘉唯一的亲人文上升是高级惩教主任，于是女主角姚爱嘉自封为惩教世家，自愿加入惩教署和囚犯们度过服刑生涯，姚爱嘉性格活泼开朗但思想过于封建，导致姚爱嘉的男友总会施展小动作来阻止姚爱家的冲动性格，渐渐地两人的关系也早已超出了正常亲戚的关系，因为有世俗的妨碍姚爱嘉和文上升无法发展成为正常的恋爱关系，两人是否能发展出一段跨辈的爱情。
