该片讲述的是在一款风靡全国的网游，一个不为人知的bug将虚拟世界和真实世界连接在了一起。同时把游玩这款游戏的所有玩家全部卷入到了这个游戏世界，男主和他的朋友不仅在现实生活当中是非常厉害的游戏好友，同时也是比较好的伙伴。男主人公为了证明自己是怀才不遇，企图唤醒游戏当中的上古邪神。另外一位朋友为了阻止男主人公犯下错误，决定集合全服务器的玩家讨伐男主人公。
