故事发生在2016年，故事的女主人公在天万神社一直做着女巫工作，她自幼和母亲分别，常年被寄养在祖父母家中。三个月前她开始和父亲生活在一起，女主人公十分珍惜这难得的安稳生活。她的好朋友同时也是她的工作伙伴，这个朋友出生在天万神社社主一族。作为次期的女巫候补，她一直都知道自己的先祖代代都在进行着驱除恶灵的使命，他们邀请女主人公参加“退魔行”的“神悬之仪”的挑战。放学后，她们二人直接前往神社，路上在被破坏的神社境内遇到了身受重伤的好朋友的父母。不仅如此，刑警正在搜查这起诡异事件的重要线索人物。她们在这里还发现了一个神智不正常的男人。为了压制这个暴徒，女主人公的好朋友立即执行了退魔行的仪式......但是诡异的事件接二连三的发生，女主人公也加入了退魔活动
