Song Shijie (played by Zhang Daming) and his family changed their name to Shi Dafu in order to avoid being chased by the queen mother. However, Song Shijie's nature is hard to change, and he often causes troubles because of injustice, which makes his son Zu withdrawn, which makes Bai Linglong (played by Guo Aiming) very worried. Once, Song Shijie stood up for a woman who sold her body to bury her father, but got into trouble with officials. Later, by virtue of her wit, she helped the woman win a lawsuit. In order to repay her kindness, the woman agreed to be the wife of the ancestor. At Zu's wedding banquet, a headless corpse appeared. Song Shijie's friend stole the chao beads and mandarin jacket from the corpse, and gave the chao beads to Zu. Later Song Shijie learned that Chaozhu was poisonous, so he hurried to save his ancestors. Officials sent to the village to investigate the murder case of the headless corpse. It turned out that the deceased was General Tietou, a friend of Prince Gong (played by Li Zixiong). Song Shijie was innocently involved in the dispute and was arrested to guard the spirit of Tietou. Prince Gong appreciated Song Shijie's behavior and did not blame him. In order to solve the murder case of General Tie, Prince Gong paid a lot of money to hire lawyers from various parties. The two sides confronted each other in court, but Song Shijie discovered their loopholes
