《毒海风云》是张杰指导的一部动作类缉毒电影。这部电影主要讲述的是在某一个城市中突然出现了纯度极高拥有极大危害性的新型毒品。作为侦查大队副队长的男主，为了打探毒品的生产运输线，独自潜入到瘾君子群中和毒贩周旋混战。在即将收网的时候却被困在毒品制作工厂中，生死危在旦夕。
以缉毒大队侦破毒品犯罪案件作为故事的主线，真实的呈现了一个普通的企图警察。为了缉毒所付出的努力以及在这个过程中所发生的各种事情，真实反映了缉毒警察在缉毒过程中所遭受的生命危险。在该电影播放的90分钟之内，影片中所出现的各种场景，都表现了缉毒警察在面对生命危险时候的不管不顾。为了销毁毒品，甚至不惜放弃生命，电影的播出充分的歌颂了缉毒警察的勇敢和无畏。
